Here’s a remix to Snoop-a-loop’s Gangsta Luv, which is on his new album that dropped earlier this week. The remix features Mayer Hawthorne and is an easier listen than the original version that features The Dream. This is a bonus track on More Malice, which is now available on iTunes.

Here’s another smooth track from 2AM Club, the genre-merging group out of LA. They were giving this one away on their website as promotion for their SXSW performances last weekend.

Samuel Adams, most known for his remix to Asher’s I Love College, just released his new album, Boston’s Boy EP. Personally, I didn’t know he had an album coming out, and, to be honest, until recently I hadn’t heard anything from him besides that one song. When I saw how his album shot to the top of the iTunes Hip Hop/Rap section last week, I decided to look into some of his music. After going through a few of his songs, I came to this track titled Kimber (RIP), about a friend of his who passed away. This is probably my favorite track that I heard from him so far.

Xaphoon Jones comes through again, this time with a remix of 2AM Club’s Nobody’s In Love. Xaphoon, one half of the rising duo Chiddy Bang, fortunately finds time to make these remixes while still producing beats for his duo’s vocalist, Chiddy. This is a fun remix, good for the warm weather that’s on its way in.

This is the first single off Travie McCoy’s debut solo album, Lazarus, that is due out later this year. McCoy, lead vocalist of Gym Class Heroes, got together with singer Bruno Mars for this feel-good, inspirational track about their billionaire aspirations.

Rapping over indie rock samples seems to be a growing trend in hip hop recently. This track, originally by Brooklyn indie band Wakey! Wakey!, is different. It has more of a balance than a lot of the other ones that I’ve heard, and I think it works nicely.
Last week I made a post with some of Johnny Polygon’s music, but the tracks that I included in the post were a random selection from his mixtape. Now, after playing through the mixtape multiple times, I decided to post up two of the songs that have really grown on me over the past couple weeks.
